The Kansas State Polytechnic Testing Center provides a secure and distraction-free environment for all testing and is committed to ensuring the security of test materials and confidentiality of any personal information provided to our staff.
The Testing Center offers testing services for Kansas State students and students of other institutions requiring proctoring, make-up exams or exam accommodations, as well as FAA Knowledge exams, K-State Polytechnic course quiz-out exams and CLEP exams.
Finding a Proctor
It is the responsibility of the student to identify a proctor for their exams. Upon identifying a proctor, all students must submit a proctor agreement, which must be approved prior to their exam date. Students are responsible for coordinating proper procedures for testing between their test provider, school or instructor and their testing center. The Kansas State Polytechnic Testing Center is not responsible for initiating proctoring or testing services.
For students using the Kansas State Polytechnic Testing Center, please schedule your exam time using the online exam scheduler. We recommend scheduling at least one week in advance to ensure availability but exams must be scheduled a minimum of 24 hours in advance. Exam proctoring is provided Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. when the University is open.
After scheduling your exam, you will receive a confirmation email with details on when and where to arrive and what you may and may not bring. Please review the Kansas State Polytechnic Testing Center Policies prior to arriving at the Testing Center.
FAA Knowledge Exams
The Kansas State Polytechnic Testing Center is an approved FAA Airman Knowledge Exam provider. FAA exams cost $173, which will be paid when you register online. Schedule your FAA Airman Knowledge Exam online.
CLEP - Credit by Exam
Kansas State Polytechnic offers credit by examination opportunities through which you may be able to earn academic credit in specific courses by successfully completing exams offered through the College Level Exam Program (CLEP). A list of K-State courses for which you can receive credit by CLEP can be found on the K-State Credit by Exam website. Prior to scheduling and taking an exam, you should confer with your academic advisor or admissions representative to verify that the exam will be accepted for credit at the receiving institution. We recommend you review the CLEP exam descriptions. Please visit the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) website for more information about the exams.
Kansas State Polytechnic allows students to quiz out of select courses by taking an exam. Students should first meet with their academic advisor to determine the need to quiz out of these courses.
