Kansas State University has a visionary goal of being recognized as one of the nation’s Top 50 Public Research Universities by 2025. The Polytechnic Campus is proud to support that strategic plan by creating learning opportunities, establishing initiatives and building partnerships focused on exploration and innovation.
K-State Polytechnic’s two most prominent and successful areas of research are in unmanned aircraft systems and bulk solids. The Applied Aviation Research Center on campus houses the advancements being made in UAS while the Kansas State University Bulk Solids Innovation Center – located in north Salina – performs experimentation related to particle technology. Both are leaders and notable influencers within their industry.
For more information on the research being performed on the Polytechnic Campus, contact Dr. Kurt Barnhart, associate dean of research and engagement.
