Aviation Fixation

Calling all future aviators! Learn about the basics of flight, anatomy of an aircraft and fly state-of-the-art flight simulators to expand your knowledge of aviation. Hosted by the K-State Polytechnic Flight Team, this summer program is the best way to get your aviation fix this summer!

Program highlights include:

  • Practice flying in a simulator
  • Learn flight theory basics and aircraft anatomy
  • Sit at the controls of a plane in the Kansas State Polytechnic aircraft fleet
  • Paper airplane contest


Registration for this program is sold out.


Program is limited to 20 participants. 

Date: June 10-12, 2019

Time: 7:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m. daily

Grade: Students in 3rd-5th grade

Cost: $65

Registration Deadline: May 24, 2019

Registration includes all program supplies, program instruction, t-shirt, pilot wings, and a snack.

Registration requirements:

  • Completed registration form, access through the Register button at the top of this page.

Upon submission of registration form, participant's registration will be reviewed. Upon acceptance of registration, participant will receive email confirmation with further details about program. Program registration is limited to 20 participants.
