Students have access to phone counseling through Counseling Services on the Manhattan campus. Students can also seek professional counseling from one of our off-campus community facilities. Professional counseling is provided by Central Kansas Mental Health Center (CKMHC) or Veridian Behavioral Health in Salina. Both CKMHC and Veridian offer comprehensive mental health services and a full continuum of care for community members.
Students referred to professional counseling services may be eligible for free sessions. Please contact Julie Rowe at 785-826-2662 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Director of Student Life coordinates resources and mobilizes services to respond to the needs of students in crisis. Assistance is given to students to help accurately assess their situation, provide information and teach the skills students need to navigate crises. Additionally, a number of services are provided to students to assist with medical and personal emergencies and in the event of hospitalization.
