When you come to your appointment, please bring any financial information you'd like to discuss including your FAFSA pin number if you wish to review your federal student loans.

Group Financial Presentations

Our peer financial coaches can provide any student group a financial presentation. Some of our topics include:

  • How to use the free SALT online financial tool
  • Creating a spending or savings plan
  • How to build good credit
  • Protecting against identity theft
  • Understanding student loan repayment and consolidation
  • Personal financial management overview

Courses and Programs


Created to help students learn how to successfully manage their finances and educational costs by the Council of Graduate Schools, funded by a grant from TIAA-CREF, a leading financial services organization with a long history of serving those in the academic, research, medical and cultural fields, as part of a three-year project to enhance the financial literacy of graduate and undergraduate students. Through a competitive proposal process involving an independent selection committee, 15 institutions were selected, including Kansas State University, to participate in the project as funded research partners.

Money 101

Need a one credit hour class? Money 101 (FSHS 101) provides an introduction to resources and tools available to assist students in developing beginning personal finance skills that will assist them throughout their lifetime. Application exercises will allow students to apply personal finance knowledge in solving real-life problems. No Textbook required.
