K-State Cheer Camp

June 9th and June 10th, 2018

Kansas State Polytechnic is proud to host a K-State Cheer Camp, led by the K-State Athletics Cheer program. Join us for two days of individualized cheer, chants, dances, basic and advanced stunt instruction on the Polytechnic campus. All participating teams will receive instruction from their own K-State Cheer coach, camp t-shirt, button into the River Fest.

The program will run from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm on June 9th and 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on June 10th. A lunch break will be scheduled each day. Held in an air-conditioned facility and cheer mats are provided.

Kansas High School Association, AACCA, and NFHS Rules and Regulations are closely followed and supported always.

$125.00 per participant. Coaches attend free. Registration includes: Individualized Instruction for Two Days, Camp T-Shirt, and admission button to the Smoky Hill River Festival

Registration deadline is June 1, 2018. Registered participants must submit a $50 deposit made out to K-State Cheer prior to June 1, 2018 and or contact the cheer office to confirm participation. Full payment must be submitted by June 9th during the first morning of camp to K-State Cheer. Check, credit card, or school purchase order are accepted. 

Spots are already filling up quickly, so call TODAY! Limited number of teams will be accepted to insure proper room and safety on mats.

Meals, lodging, and other arrangements are the responsibility of the participants and not included in Cheer Camp registration. About the Smoky Hill River Festival

The Smoky Hill River Festival will awaken your senses with original art, live music, fantastic food and kids' stuff. Now in its 42nd year, the River Festival is described as 'like none other,' with its unique arts offerings set in beautiful, shaded Oakdale Park near downtown Salina. Learn more on the Smoky Hill River Festival website. Your camp registration includes a button to access the River Festival during your time in Salina for free!


Participants are advised to wear workout gear with appropriate footwear. Teams are not required to wear matching camp gear. This is solely the decision of the team's coach but not a requirement of this program.

Any beverages must be in an enclosed container with a screw on lid. No open containers are permitted in the facility. Outside food is not allowed in the facility.


The cheer camp is held on the Kansas State University Polytechnic campus in Salina, KS. Attendees should arrive to the Student Life Center for check-in. The Student Life Center is number 21 on the campus map

Directions to campus:

If you are traveling east or west on I-70, stay on I-70 until the I-70/I-135 interchange. Travel south on I-135 to the Magnolia St. exit (No. 90). Go west on Magnolia to Centennial Rd. Turn right and proceed to the Polytechnic campus. 

If you are traveling north or south on I-135, take the Magnolia St. exit (No. 90). Go west on Magnolia to Centennial Rd. Turn right and proceed to the Polytechnic campus.


Registration for this event gives consent for photographs, publicity and inclusion on the participant list unless the Professional Education and Outreach office is notified in writing at profed@ksu.edu prior to the start date.


Cancellations must be submitted to K-State Cheer/Mascot Office. Cancellations submitted after the registration deadline will not receive the $50 deposit back.

Kansas State Polytechnic Professional Education and Outreach may cancel or postpone any course or activity because of insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. If the event is canceled or postponed, the Professional Education and Outreach office will refund registration fees, but cannot be held responsible for costs, charges, or expenses, including cancellation/change charges assessed by airlines or travel agencies.


A participant with a disability who needs accommodations should indicate services needed at the time of registration.
