Personal Financial Planning
At this time, no new students are being accepted into the personal financial planning program on the polytechnic campus in Salina. This program is offered on the Manhattan campus and interested students can learn more by visiting this website: ipfp.k-state.edu.
Kansas State Polytechnic’s personal financial planning program merges an emphasis on family relationships, decision making, and financial planning with curriculum based in consumer rights, insurance, investments, taxation, retirement and estate planning, economics and accounting. Students also master an understanding of financial products and how they are utilized, as well as determine the role of a family in monetary decisions.
The program is registered with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, which is the most recognizable designation in this profession. Once graduated, students are eligible to take the CFP® Certification Examination. The personal financial planning program supplies graduates with the abilities to excel in a variety of careers, including comprehensive or small financial planning practices, insurance companies, investment firms, banks, trust departments and Cooperative Extension.
