Academic and Career

From building a resume to outlining an academic plan to exploring enrichment activities such as study abroad, K-State Polytechnic provides academic and career services dedicated to helping students develop and achieve their academic and career goals. These services include academic advising, career services, course enrollment, registration and graduation preparation. Students are also encouraged to utilize these services to explore academic enrichment activities such as internships, study abroad or the exploration of secondary majors/minors.

Academic Advising

Kansas State University is committed to providing effective advising services to students as an essential component of their educational experience. Academic Advisors assist students with academic planning, course sequencing, review of curriculum requirements, academic policies/procedures and major exploration.

Each student at K-State Polytechnic is assigned an academic advisor. Students are responsible for initiating advising contact and preparing for advising sessions. Advisors can help connect students with campus resources in support of their academic and career goals.

The Career Services Office helps enhance students’ job readiness through resume workshops, mock interviews, networking opportunities, internships and career fairs. Academic Policies and Procedures

The Registrar's Office ensures the accuracy, integrity and security of the academic records of the University. The Registrar provides information about courses, course schedules, course listings, transcripts, enrollment information such as add/drop policies, academic policies and procedures, FERPA, graduation applications, commencement details, academic calendars, final exam schedules, reinstatement procedures, transfer equivalencies and curriculum guides and requirements.


Enrichment Opportunities

K-State Polytechnic offers a variety of academic enrichment activities to help expand students’ educational and professional opportunities through the hands-on polytechnic experience. Such activities include internships, study abroad, undergraduate research and secondary majors/minors.
